I went to track last thursday. The car is a 1995 camaro z28 with a cc503 (224/230 .510/503 1.5rr), 1.6rr comp magnums, k&n cai, 58mm tb, new valvetrain and the heads and intake were gasket matched along with the intake to the tb. I swapped the 4l60e for a t56 and i have 3.23 gears. It has a mail order tune by madz.
I ended up running a dismal 13.5 @ 101 with a 1.9 60 ft. I was 8.76 @ 82.2 at the eighth. These times seemed lower than what they should have been to me.
I did put in 87 octane instead of 93 because i was broke and thats what i had in the garage. And i had 27 inch slicks on my car, and that probably made the gear more like a 3.00. How much do you think the combination of that affected my time? Next week i will be running 93 octane and 315/35/17 DRs.
Thanks to all who contributes their thoughts and predictions for next week.

It is amazing that you could still get a 1.9 60' with that gear, and tall tire. I guess that is why you had to launch at such a high rpm. Your car will benefit greatly with some 4.10s and a shorter tire. That low octane gas is probably causing the computer to pull timing also. You will be deep in the 12s with just a couple of these changes.
I noticed quite a difference when I went from a 26" tire to a 27". My car has 4.10s so I can imagine how much the tires are slowing you down just by themselves.

Thanks everyone keep the thoughts coming. What do you think ill run this thursday with shorter tires and better gas? What is the 60 ft i should be looking at if 1.9 isnt it. 4.10s would obviously take half a second or more off my time.

The MPH does seem really low. My car with the 503 cam and a 6 speed with 12.32 @ 114. Granted it was in really good air but it normally trapped 112 even in the summer. What are you shifting at?

Unfortunately it rained yesterday. Well this thursday ill post a video, and i shouldnt have even posted this thread until i ran it with 93 octane. I mean i never put 87 in it ever. Im debating to use 315/35/17 DRs or stick with 27"s for next test and tune. I ran a 13.7 by launching at 3500 and shifting at 6k. Then i ran 13.5 consistently by launching at 5k and shifting around 5700ish. So next ill see how launching at 5k and shifting at 6k will do.
