I guess when I said full bolt ons run with 5th gens, I actually meant run away from. I ran 7.6@88 last weekend with bolt ons and stall so I know what a good SI LS1 can do.

Not trying to start anything, but I ran 12.5 at 111 with just a lid, cat-back, and tune. I added gears and some headers and ran the 12.2 at 114. Stock stall, leaving off idle on street tires. I realize that an M6 LS3 SS can run a high 12 at 110-111, but once you start adding a tune and one or two bolt ons to an LS1, it turns the tables pretty quickly assuming equal drivers, etc.

The vid that was posted showed a car with a little more top end AND what looked like a good jump. Not a good example imho...

I filmed the vid. The trans am driver is a good driver and the leave was close. We ran several times that night with the same results The 5th gen leaves pretty good on the street and Lazer rows the gears like a champ in that thing. If the guys dad can drive then op will lose.

If your runnin him at the track your better race him the first couple times down the track if you want to win.....that is if he has'nt been to a track in it before.

Gotcha, that vid just doesn't reflect what I've been seeing between the two. That was just ugly, lol. Def not calling BS or anything....

With that said, the F-bodies are getting some age on them, so not all are going to perform the same at this point.
