Default First time at the track in the Camaro, slow but fun!

Took the Camaro (stock 98' Z/28 M6) to Sac Raceway for the first time the other night, didn't make too many passes unfortunately :/ Even though my car is completely stock minus the tires, I had a great time! Ended up running a best of 13.7 @ 103. All passes were made on 35 psi tire pressure, I was going to make a pass on 20 psi to see if it'd knock off a tenth or two... didn't have the time. All in all I feel like I could've done better, oh well. Next time I am for sure going to have the tires at 20 psi and I will empty out my car of excess junk next time amateur mistake on my part. There was an LS1 C5 that ran 14.8 so I felt a little better inside haha. I know I could at least touch 13.5 if I was a bit more aggressive with my launch, but my tranny/rear both have 110,000 miles of pure abuse and I am trying to at least spare them for a little longer. Any tips/tricks/free mods to get this thing to run quicker besides better driving?

Oops, forgot to put all the info in the OP.

60' - 2.2
1/8th ET - 9.8
1/8th MPH - 82

I'm really anxious to see how much a drop in tire pressure will help out in the 60'. That was without a doubt what was hurting me the most.

Well something isn't adding up. You either typed your 1/8th mile ET wrong or you coasted after the 60' mark. But seriously, not bad for your first time out. Getting that 60' down to a 1.9/2.0 will get you at least a 13.5 (provided all other variables equal) so just practice, practice, practice.

13.7 isn't bad for your first time out, neither is that 2.2 60'.

I did wrong lane haha... 1/8th ET was 9.05 @ 82, thanks I gave it a good amount of effort. Definitely did not want to powershift... not just yet. I think if I would've got my run in with my tire pressure at 20 psi I could've trapped at least a 13.6/13.5 if everything else was solid.
