Default 67 Camaro w/ LQ9

After my race with my buddy in his vette, I had to see what my car was gonna run. Took it to the local 1/8 mile track tonight and got this with et streets.

60': 1.846
1/8: 7.94
mph 91.8

Car is a 67 camaro with lq9, ls6 intake, 243 heads, eps 230/234 cam, headers, 3" x-pipe, 4l80e, 3k stall, strange 9" rear, 3:55 gears.

I'm sure most of you notice that the 60' is slow. The car doesn't leave very hard but starts pulling in the upper rpm's of first, then shifts to second and the power falls off and then picks up in the upper rpm's of second. Same thing in third. I know it has more in it, but I have to figure out why it doesn't pull so well in the lower rpm.

I believe your converter is holding you back.

I felt like the converter was possibly holding me back, but when it shifts from 1st to 2nd my wife asked why I let out of it some. She was sitting in the stands watching me. I just would not have thought the 3k converter would pull the engine that far out of the powerband.
