Idk how i missed the update on this thread! Congrats and you are almost in the 1.5's 60ft. Real strong. I switched to billet specialties and toyo dr's and almost closed in on you! guess i need to take my spare out next time lol. I did a 1.63 60ft and went 7.42@93 on my 11.54@119 run.

Nice results, your car looks great. I'm guessing your still rocking the QTPs or are you on a Bias slick? QTPs are bias aren't they or are they radial? Im going to have my 9 inch in soon and I'm looking at different bias plys and im thinking ET Streets with tubes maybe but then I thought I saw somewhere that the QTP was a bias ply and I know people go very fast on those and that they hook very well.

QTP are bias ply. Thay work pretty good with a 6 speed there not a stiff wall but the sidewall is pretty stout think they made them like that because its a DOT rated tire.

Thanks guys, and yes the QTP's are bias plys. The tires on the car for these passes were around 8 years old (friend gave them to me) and had 200-300 passes on them lol. The night I ran the 7.41 the cords started showing, so they are now retired. I'm going to buy another set of them, they hooked great and had a soft sidewall that was forgiving on the drivetrain. Getting ready to put some TEA 5.3 heads on this winter, looking forward to the results!

awesome times and a very slick car, man.......i have similar mods (except gears) and could only turn an 8.32 with 2.0 60ft at my local 1/8 mile track, even with Mickey Thompson drags.....but i launched like a sissy the whole night because was so afraid of busting the 10 bolt.....makes me feel like i'll be seeing good numbers like yours when i pony up the dough for a better rear....i was stuck on getting a MWC 9", but now i'm thinking an S60 with 4:11's will be fine

Thanks man, my 10-bolt has taken a lot of abuse. The quickest thing that will kill a 10-bolt is dumping the clutch and/or wheel hop. I'm a firm believer in bias-ply tires in the fact that they take a lot of shock out of the drivetrain during the shifts. Don't be afraid to get aggressive on the launch. I was nervous at first and I know it's still on borrowed time, but it's sure been great so far. Here is a quick in-car video with a friend in the car, nothing too special but its the only one I have lol:
