Yeah I don't know what's going on but I just put a kooks y pipe and gutted the cats , and it feels like its got its power back. But I'm running 17in n555rs Friday night. But if I'm still in the 14.0s I'm done messing with this **** and sticking to car shows lol

All I think that's wrong is I a need a driver mod ...

If you haven't cleaned your MAF sensor you may want to do that. A dirty one can really drain your power and its easily overlooked.

my stock internals 6 speed car cracked 11's back when it "only" had 215,000 on it (234k now) , heck my 220,000 mile front drive 4 door v6 bolt ons buick still pulls down mid 13's - your down on power sir.....traps dont lie

So this trap speeds aren't good? And in trying to get a tune up, and while cleaning my maf I noticed my throttle body doesn't open all the way. The blade doesn't touch the bump stop it had about a 1/2 in . Amy thoughts?

Sorry for all the questions in new to ls engines and drag racing .

I think you just answered your question... 98mph is terrible for a stock a4 ls1 car that should be trapping 104. The fact that your throttle still has 1/2" to go befoere the bump stop says someone xchanged the tb or messed with the cable get it to open all the way and do a good tune up and you should be running to its full potential

It has a ported ls6 intake and 85mm tb, the car is a 2000 so it came with ls1 intake. But we adjusted the cable as far as it will go and there's still slack.

the aftermarket tb could be the issue again. fwiw you wont lose any hp by going to a ported stock one on an ls6 manifold. thats most likely the reason the car trapping horrible. track times are driver error trap speed is what indicates power and thats def down

I don't think it's an aftermarket? It looks kinda stock The guy I bought it from said it was 85mm. But I'm probably wrong.

My own thought is to take it to an area performance shop familier with LS-1's. That will cost you a few bucks, but a comp. test and checking the afr will start to answer some questions. Gumbed up plugs from bad 02 sensor, broken ring, tb not opening properly, they list goes on.
stop the guessing game and get it to a shop.

If it won't go any faster you might want to put a picture of a horse on it.

You're doing this backwards, get the car checked out then go racing.
