2002 Corvette A4 bone Stock Slow Mph?
Well ran the car for the first time at richmond last night and Im not sure if I should be dissapointed or not. Car is a 02 vette automatic bone stock wtih stock run flats with 82k miles. Car ran..
60 Ft 2.0
1/4 13.30
Mph 105.58
The car is a base model with targa and Im positive it has the factory rear end in it I believe is a 2.73 but correct me if Im wrong. MPH seems abit low for the year considering its a 02. I however do weight 330 pounds so maybe with a lighter driver it would do better. Just making sure this is where the car should be bone stock. Also I have to replace the valve seals and harmonic balancer soon so I plan to throw in a cam and valve springs but Im leaving the factory exhaust, is there any recommendation on a cam that would be a good fit with the factory stall/rear end/ exhaust. I do plan to itleast add an intake and I am getting dyno tuned. Thanks.

Depending on DA thats a pretty good run. The 2:73's are holding it back considerably.
As far as cam's go, with your combo, I would look at something on the smaller end like a TR224 or TR220 because a larger cam will not work well with the stock stall and gears.
Talk to any other sponsors on here and they will point you in the right direction.

with a 2.0 60 foot some dr's should get you close to cracking 12's , go on a day/night with better air and your there. If you plan on modding the car at all you will need stickier tires anyway , if you start there you will then have consistency to know what gains your mods get you.
do the intake and tune your thinking of as well as tires and I bet your approaching mid 12's and will be a much happier guy.
ps I know I read about a free intake mod on ls1 vettes around here maybe poke around and find it.

Thank you guys so much for the info, seriously I was not expecting such feedback considering Im pretty new on this forum. And now I can be relieved my car is healthy. As far as drag radials idk if it needs it with the stock stall with traction control off it didnt spin at all. On the street if I stomp it, it will hook then start spinning once it hits 4000rpm all the way to redline strangly enough. Also I recently had the harmonic balancer replaced and valve cover gaskets replaced and all belts and etc, and it feels SO MUCH stronger now and it revs to 6k before it was only 5500. So Im really excited to go back to the track and see what it does now. Going to have to hold off on the cam as the mechanic who did my harmonic balancer only charged me $150 not knowing how difficult it was going to be, it took him two days lol and I made him order a new bolt which took GM another 3 days to get. But its a huge improvement.

Also Ive decided that this car is going to now be my Fiances shes in love with it and shes taking over payments and Im stepping back into the evo world since Richmond VA now has E85. I come from owning 3 previous evos and one with a 62mm inlet / 86mm exducer sized GT3586 turbo which is small in the LS1 world but pretty big. Car with me tuning it on a bullish cam set made 470whp on 93 octane. With E85 it would have been close to 600whp with better cams. But my GF wants abit more oomph so Im going to get an intake, catback x pipe, leave the factory headers and have Frost tune it.

Switch back to an EVO? really?
The Vette is more comfortable. Probably gets better gas mileage than a highly modded EVO. Easier to maintain the Vette because it will be more reliable too
