Default Finally, 8.97@150

The little 383 mustang finally broke into the 8's on a real street jet size (.082) at the LSX Shootout this weekend.. I knew it had it in it but never could get to a decent track with the heat and then if we did it was 1/8 mile.
After lots of 9.0's on my 2nd true street run it skinned off a 8.976@150.73 on a ok 1.35 60'. The timer was set soft on the hit due to all the street cars beating the track up. The car will 1.25 in great conditions.
Unfortunately it almost caught fire after that run in the staging lanes due to a wire that shorted out to the trans break. It put me out of the race and didn't get a third hit (DQ'd) for cutting wires that were about to catch fire. I had a 9.01 avg at that point.....
We got it repaired that night but the transbrake noid was fryed.
So I got put out in the first round of rumble.

It was a crazy weekend for us.

Thanks guys. It was a lot of work getting it repaired from the crash. And the car goes straight down the track holding the wheel with one hand lol.
