Finally broke into the 10s

I have alot of things i want to do to it to go 10.50s or better without touching the motor, i just dont know when. i started my own business and thats eating up alot of funds. I guess the real goal is to run coyote stock numbers and prove GM had a pushrod engine 9 years before the coyote that could hang with it in stock form.

Here's a pretty close comparison of the stock LS vs stock Coyote. Both these NMCA/NMRA classes have almost exactly the same rules, and both run on a 28x10.5. Automatic cars are allowed any converter and a trans brake, manual cars must use a minimum 10" dia diaphragm clutch.
The NMCA's Chevy Performance Stock is a 3200lb factory sealed engine class that uses the 376cid LS3 based DR525 crate engine. Current record is 10.098 / 131.88 with an RPM T400 automatic.
The NMRA's Coyote Stock is a 3175lb factory sealed engine class that uses a sealed 302cid Coyote crate engine. Current record is 10.075 / 131.86 using a manual trans w/ the 10" diaphragm clutch.
When the two classes come head to head at the NMCA/NMRA Super Bowl event, NMRA has been coming out on top.
I don't think there are any competitive automatic equipped Coyote Stock cars.
Is anyone competitive in Chevy Performance Stock with a manual trans?

The manual is not allowed in the gm class unfortunately. Last i heard the coyote stock cars were lighter than you stated to. At one point they dropped 100lb off them.
I'm with ya slp. I'll be looking for something near a 10.5 also with my changes.

From what I recall the coyote stock class that is near the ls3 class weight is for the Gen 2 coyote that nobody is running. The coyote stock record holder is something like 150+ lbs lighter

Here's some links to the current rules...
http://www.nmcadigital.com/dl/rules/cps.pdf
http://www.nmradigital.com/dl/rules/cs.pdf
The discontinued sealed Coyote engine is allowed to run @3000lbs, it needs the weight break to be competitive with the current Coyote which runs @ 3175lbs.
Discontinued Coyote currently runs at 9.93 lbs/ci
2015-up Coyote currently runs at 10.51 lbs/ci
DR525 LS3 currently runs at 8.51 lbs/ci
The most popular transmission used in Coyote Stock is the GForce G101A. Chevy Performance Stock is allowed to use that same transmission/ratios, also allowed to use the exact same clutches that the Coyotes are using.
