Slow first time

I would also expect a cammed car to trap higher than you did but that is likely due to your inexperience as well. Can you post the entire time slip or data from it then we can see what you did , I am guessing your 60 foot was around a 2.4 or worse to run 14's on a 112 trap another great indicator is trap gain from 1/8 to 1/4 I would expect a cammed 4th gen to pickup 23-26 mph or better on the top half.
Also your reaction times though they have no bearing on et or trap do have a bearing on being able to beat the guy in the other lane to the traps and if you ever bracket race you will want to have those tightened up. you can typically be safe leaving on the 3rd yellow , occasionally with a slower car or traction limited on the 2nd depending on how deep you stage.
Learn how to shallow stage it will improve your et's a bit and give you a bit of a cushion leaving before the green as well.
Things like paying attention to which lane is hooking better at that point in the day , squaring up well ahead of the tree so that you are pointed perfectly to the end of your lane so there are fewer steering corrections ( literally shortens the amount of track you cover) doing all this so your tires are also in the "groove" where you can see the most rubber is laid down by previous cars will help find and maintain traction. Getting the car cooled off as well as possible between rounds if its busy if its not moving shut it off and open the hood if safe and allowed , or conversely "hot lapping" if its dead enough at the track to keep cool air moving through the car all the way back around to staging without running into traffic.
