Default Seasons worth of testing into one pass 8.53@167.6

HI guys, not many posts here, but Ive put together a 73 240z, with an LS3 with rods and pistons, cam spec'd by Martin, Billet S480, Jakes stage 3 4l80e with D3 and 5000 triple disc, into a 9 inch with 3.25 gears and Hoosier 28x10.50 C07 slicks

Ive been fighting new car issues all year long only mustering mid 9's at 155 to 160mph with crappy 60 foot times Solved the short time blues with a sway bar and the car is coming around. To bad the season is over here in the PNW, Id like to playing with more two step and launch boost, along with getting the shifting programming sorted out. I'm having a dip in tps so it shifts short sometimes. If you listen in the video the 2-3 shift is hella short

This pass is 19psi

Race weight is at 2750, and winters hit list is to diet about 100 lbs, some larger injectors and pump upgrades

Car is running MS3Pro for the engine and Microsquirt for the tranny

Thanks guys. I had a blast building this car and feels good to finally be getting it dialed in. And it's street legal, I'm able to put the passenger seat in and drive down to the local cars and coffee!

Here's a few build shots
I have to say that LS1 tech was a big source for information while googling all this stuff. So in a way, a big thanks to you guys and some other forums for the info needed and the help in decision making

That thing back halfs like a freight train.

If you can get it from shifting 1-2 and 2-3 at 6000rpm and up that to 7000rpm I guarantee it goes much faster through the early portion of the run (60'-300').

That turbo will make 30psi of boost on this size engine as well, she's got a lot left in it.

Great job!

I'm going to try and make it one more time to the 1/4 mile. I've changed the auto shift programming to reflect the speed needed for each gear, so even if I get a tps dips and come out of rpm based upshifting, I'll still be near the rpm x mph were looking for

I've also enabled a per gear shift light function and installed about 12 leds in the face bezel of the tach, so I could shift manually as well

Im not holding my breath about getting another track day in this year. I was checking your car out at Bremerton this year. Never got to see you run though. That little car moves out! You should bring it to the NWN Motorsports events next year.

I actually talked to the guy who puts on the NWN events while I was there. Seems very interesting!

Looking at the weather, Saturday in Portland might work so far, if not the weekend after

I've been googling air shifters or electric shifter, and even converter my proratchet to electric shift. I can use my per gear shift light to activate too

It's the most fun I've had with my car. Camping at the Bremerton event is something I look forward to every year now.

Making some upgrades to this car. I have sold the 80e and moving into a 1.80 Glide. I'm really excited about this and some other small weight reductions. Should get this car down to 2600 race ready

Got this car ready for this season. Bunch of upgrades but best of all lost a bunch of weight, car sits at 2326 race ready. I'm excited for the first test and tune at the local 1/8th mile

Northwest Nights Motorsports event. Street car, no NHRA tech. We get to run on the track side in prepped lanes with timeslips this event. Friday and Saturday. Joint event with Bremerton and their normal schedule.
