First time down track with Whipple

First time down track with Whipple 83 cutlass ly6/Whipple 2.9@9lbs 4050 race weight. Ran 11.5@127 . I was afraid of going 11.49 and getting kicked out without a rollbar, so I let off for a sec then nailed it. 60 ft was horrible , 2.4 . My question is how accurate is hp from trap speed/ weight ? According to calculation I'm 647 rwhp

I bet your 500lb lighter than me. Strange s60, 4l85e, whipple, heat exchanger, the hood was 85 lbs. full interior ac power moonroof. It's heavy. You should find out what yours weighs and fig out your rwhp from trap speed . It a lot more accurate than a dyno . Especially on a stalled auto. We fig out my buddy's nova on the same calculator and the numbers were right on. His motor came with a dyno sheet from blueprint and they matched up to the hp lol

And your stock weight was 3435. You've added a **** ton of weight.
My car is lighter due to the factory aluminum hood and minor frame and styling differences, but I put on frame extensions when I put in my 4l80e which pretty much killed that. And I added one of those giant rear sway bars and rear shock mount brace. Took the front sway out though. My QA1s save a tiny bit, and so does the 20lb battery in the trunk. Then there's the fact that I'm 350lbs myself. My race weight is probably north of 3600lbs. It's been on the list of things to verify for a few years now. I'm going to cut about 100lbs more from the car before I put a cage in it soon.

None of the tracks out there have a scale? At NE dragway where I go there's one right after u get your time slip. You could always go to a recycling place. They weigh the trucks going in and out. I've always been a fan of your build, it definitely rips! I'm curios to see what u weigh
