Red face PB for the z28

just got back from the track. only got in 3 runs. the third run i botched it bad as i was still getting use to my 3600 stall but the tires or brakes didnt hold and it slipped and i crept forward which was around 3200RPMs.
anyways the first 2 runs were 12.7@108 with a 1.9 sixty and 12.5@109 with a 1.9 sixty. both stalled around 2800-2900RPMs. im running summer tires nitto zr555 that are nearly bald. vid link below. how do i increase the holding power to be able to stall past 3000RPMs? stickier tires?

Its a performabuilt from what I've been told. Bought it used from a local member on here.

Just did some researching about flashing the converter instead of trying to foot brake it as high s possible, which was what i was doing. Next time ill floor it at idle or hold at like 1500 or 2000 and go from there.

Pretty sure Performabuilt specs FTI converters. That's what I have and they work great.
Keep trying different launch rpm to you get the best 60'. Your gonna need some sticky tires first though.

correct but the one i bought was originally a performabuilt before they sourced out to fti, according to the original owner. I also checked with performabuilt and they confirmed.
