Default Almost in the 5's

First track outing of the year. The DA was a -100 and I almost met my goal for the current combo, which is a 5.99 pass. The first pass was on motor and it was a PB 6.91 at 100mph and 10.83. The car was spinning on the nitrous passes, but the best was a 6.08 at 114, let off at the 1/8 coasted to a 10.15 1/4. The 1/4 traps were off all day. They laid some fresh prep on the track and I tried one last time to break into the 5's. The car dead hooked, pulled the tires and then the rear end broke. Ls6, tfs220's, btr 4 cam, nitrous outlet plate kit and th400

Thanks! It is a moser 9in, with 31 spline axles and the a trac lock. I haven't pulled it apart yet, but I'm willing to bet the trac lock **** the bed. Time for a light weight spool

Thanks Doug, I was running a 250 shot. I really wanted a 5.99, but I guess I will have to be content

Sucks when **** breaks, throw in some 35's and a spool....one place a little over-kill wont hurt.

That's the plan I took, cost was the same 31/33/35.

Yep, that's the plan if I have a broke axle. If it's just the shitty trac lok I will just replace it with a spool for now. I still need a few more things to be ready to race for the year lol

thank you Jamie. Pulled the axles out, they look good. Looks like it's time for a spool

you realize josh, that your car has a ls6 block, TFS heads, a decently large cam, high stall converter, a SD tune, and on motor you make 500rwhp. honest to god 500rwhp....all of those things. and you are slower than someone else's silver SS with stock 243s, stock cam, stock ls6, and street tires.

you achievements are exactly the way a car like your should and will perform. but you are 1 tenth slower and a bunch of MPH slower than that other Silver SS in spite of all of your work making you car a FANTASTIC drag car.

just sayin. your car is incredible man. but slower and not as good of a performer as a stock LS6.

Lol, I feel like it runs pretty well for what it is. The converter obviously isn't set up for NA, and that hurts it for sure. I really need to weigh it again. I'm sure it's a few hundred lbs heavier than the car your talking about. I wish the trap would have been working on that run. I would guess it was 126-127. Pulled the 3rd member out, shattered the spider gears lol.
