Default Whats up with these times?

I went to the track the other day and was running the following times:
reaction: 1.076
T1: 1.958
T2: 5.445
T3: 8.221
MPH: 87.090
T4: 10.598
E.T.: 12.585 @114.291

Don't some people run tens around 114 MPH. My transmission was hitting the rev limiter from 1st to 2nd and from 2nd to third. It is an automatic with stock suspension. Any ideas what I would run without hitting the rev limiter, or what is the best way to invest in suspension?

Before any help can be done, you need to tell us what you have for mods --- heads, cam, tires, tuning, etc, etc.

1st off, reaction will not effect your overall time - but just a bit late off the tree
60' is ok on street tires, other than that ?? don't have any idea what you're running

114 will get you into the 11's but not 10's.

Bouncing off the rev limiter will kill your times - let alone not good for the engine.

Tell us more before any real help can be given

12.5 @ 114 is doing very well IMO. 114 MPH is most definitely *not* a 10 second car. I ran 12.8 @ 114.. To run tens you need an MPH closer to 128 MPH.

Good luck,

Mark

1fastGM. Looking over your mods what I don't see is any suspension upgrades. Upgrade LCA's and shocks will help your 60' that will help the 1/4 times. Change out your stock LS1 intake for even an LS6 intake (there has been a lot for sell recent since FAST instakes came out). Fix the tranny problem - you should NOT be bouncing off the rev limiter on every shift.

Otherwise your times don't look all that bad. A couple minor upgrades will get you into lower 12's - maybe with even good air high 11's. It has been done before with less mods. Any weight reduction - if not, do the normal stuff but if it is your only car don't get carried away.

Tranny is getting rebuilt right now. I just ordered some relocation brackets, so we'll see if those help. I will get shocks, but not right now because of all the money I am spending on my new 408 set up. I have already bought an ls6 too. I was just wondering if these times were ok for what I had. Thanks to all.

No weight reduction, I want to keep it an all out street car (daily driver).
