NEW STOCK INTERNAL RECORD!!! 10's?!?!? Maybe!!!

12 bolt is another 30 lbs but it's not apples to apples, the gear swap would make a big difference in torque multiplication.
Keith still have a the V6 rear sway bar on there, so it's not as strong a a V8 one from the factory.
I disagree on the tire height issue. Since his car is so light the power to weight ratio is different. He could maybe go lower 1.4's, I think that Silver98Z28 (Rich A) runs 26x10.0's and might have gone a low 1.4 a few times.

My car is deffinately slower compared to other cars with similar weight and mods than mine other than a 12-bolt and a heavier driveshaft. Took me a while to figure out why this was, but the heavier drivetrain components deffinately slowed me down.
If I were you, being so damn close to 10's, I would leave everything the way it was and wait for some good air. In this case concerning the 10-bolt, if it ain't broke, why fix it.

Congrats.....that is kickin ***. Hope you decide to bring it to Thunder and at least run brackets.
To answer PSJ's question, yes I'm running a 26x10 tire and have gone best of 1.41 at 3320lbs. I've been down on power lately because I found out I'm floating valves. Heads are being freshened up and getting a forged short block as well.

Thanks everyone!
The weight of the 12 bolt is a concern of mine. I am thinking I will just do it anyway along with bogarts all around and front runners as well. I'll take the die grinder to the car some more this week to clearance the wheel wheels for the next set of tires and such. Perhaps the weight will add up.
So the concensus is 3.42/10 bolt to 4.10/12 bolt on the same tire will not result in a quicker ET for a stock internal NA stripper car?
You guys worry me cause I'm not sure if my tires will last another round at the track.. and my next set has to be 28x10's, not 28x9's.

If you were keep running 28x9's and went to a 12 bolt with 4.10's you would pick up for sure!!!! If you could hook it. Your car lugs in 3rd gear right now (since the converter is pretty loose) and I think that is what is causing the low traps. Either that or the tranny is slipping but I don't think so. True the 4.10 would help with the converter as well, your converter is pretty loose.

The 28X9's would deffinately fit a lot better than the 28X10's. If you start spinning the 28X10's fast enough they will expand and rub on the rear fender well. I was running a used set of 28X9's (almost to the wear marker) and they hooked REALLY well. I believe the diameter of the 28X9's is actually 27.3".
Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
