What was the D/A like? Actual altitude of the track? That can make a big difference in your ET & MPH.

Upgrading to a LS6 intake will help quite a bit with your setup. That alone should put you in the 11s.

I don't know the specifics on the weather at the time, but it was in the high 90's and quite humid.

I see that you drive an M6 car, so take a look at this list and educate yourself.

I stand corrected. We should all base our transam a4 predictions on a list of what some a4 corvettes run. If everything worked like textbook we would all be miles ahead of the game. For all the information we have he could have dyno'd those number a year ago and have wornout springs and valvefloat now. Don't be so quick to 'educate' others. We don't need a list of other A4s we need a more detailed scenario.

That has a whole lot to do with your times. About what elevation is your track?

That explains it. I'm sure the D/A was pretty high. Try running it again in cooler dry weather.

The info regarding a good sample of similarly equipped cars is an example of what's called a statistical analysis. You may have heard this term before. Maybe not. In any case, if NASA and others use, I don't see it as a bad thing, something to be taken lightly nor to be smug about, but that's just me.

I might add that I didn't offer to educate you or anyone else. I suggested that you educate yourself so you may want to work on reading comprehension while you're at it.

Further, my suggestion that he redyno would and will reveal any problems with his valvetrain and whether he is indeed down on power, whatever the reason may be.

I never to this day will understand why guys look at SAE dyno #s and take them as gospel as to what a car will run. He could have made his runs at 4000 DA for all anybody knows. 385 corrected to the tires on stock heads with a stall is decent.

You will gain atleast .2 with the LS6 intake alone, IMO. If you can get the track elevation we can narrow down the DA and possibly explain the MPH's.

I agree on both counts, but although dyno numbers are far from the end all to be all for predicting what you'll do at the drag strip they should give you an "idea" of what your performance will be. If they're way off from each other, than there's something wrong on one end or the other.
