Default G5X3 at the track

I have a g5x3 cam in my car, along w/ the mods in my sig. I am currently running fairly consistent 12.1's. This seems a bit on the bad side to me. Shouldn't I be running faster than that? I finish at 113.7, by the way. My SES light is on, throwing codes for the bank 1 oxygen sensor. Could a bad o2 sensor be slowing me down? Thanks

What are your 60ft times. I am running 12.2s with a much smaller cam and smaller converter. I trap high 110s.

Your 60' needs work, and you might want to look at getting the car tuned/re-tuned.

60 ft looks pretty good to me man, my only guess is that your missing on power somewhere. Try replaceing that 02 sensor and go from there. I have heard about bad 02 sensors putting power down.

When your racing the 02 sensors shouldnt come into affect as your in Open Loop at High rpm, quick throttle. Unless you leave the line at idle and smoothly cruise along

I saw the problem in your sig. Looks as if LG tuned your car. Have Chris Robinson tinker with it if you are local.

Him not being in the 11s where he should be has nothing to do with his 60' times which are actually pretty good.

With that cam, your trap speeds should be higher than that. How did your car dyno?

P.S.- I have lousy 60' times in the 2.0s on street tires. My drag radials have been ordered.

That's why i mentioned the tune. But he still has another 3/10 in it in the 60' alone.

When the car was tuned what did it dyno?

Edit- guess i missed that. It is definitely in the tune. Check the o2's and get the car retuned.

Those traps seem pretty high for an A4 car with just a cam?? I think the 60s could come down.

It could also be in the install. Who installed the cam?

Well, something doesn't add up then because with that kind of horsepower you should 1. have a higher trap speed and 2. with that 60' time you should definitely be in the 11s.

There's no trick to installing a cam and if it wasn't degreed properly it would have shown up in the dyno numbers. 385 rwhp from an A4 car with presumably stock heads is damn impressive so I don't think the install is the problem.

You're either losing power somehow (KR or something else) or your dyno numbers were somehow skewed. I'd get the car redynoed (somewhere else than the last time) and see what your numbers look like. Also, have them check for knock retard at WOT.

Cam only or not, if he's putting 385 horsepower to the rear wheels his trap speeds should be higher. I dynoed at 392 with my converter locked. My unlocked, "real world" number was 376 rwhp and I'm trapping at almost 116 mph. He also has 3.73 gears (as I do) that should help his trap speeds.

TexMax: Do you have your unlocked numbers?

No, I wish I did. The numbers above are the only ones on the dyno printout.

Well, as I suggested earlier, I'd get the car redynoed elsewhere just for comparison's sake, get my unlocked numbers recorded, and also have them check for KR.

Meaning what? Look, if he dynoed anywhere near 385 rwhp through his A4 car, even SAE corrected in the frigging Sahara desert, his trap speeds "should" be higher and with 60' times in the 1.70s, he "should" be in the 11s.

I see that you drive an M6 car, so take a look at this list and educate yourself.
