C6 - Heads N Cam NEW BEST
We installed a mild heads and cam package. All I can say is WOW. This car really woke up. We finished up Thursday night and had it on the track Friday. We didn’t even have time to dyno it. The car ran a best of 11.426@ 120.76MPH on a 1.597 60’. The traction was almost non-existent. The best 60’ to date is 1.52. The weather was not very good. The DA was 1500-1600 feet all day. The weather station was predicting the car to run 11.8’s if we didn’t change any thing. There is a lot more left in it. When we got our previous best, the DA was 100’. We will dyno the car Monday and post the before and after the gears. Then we will post after the gear change and after the heads and cam with the same gears.
As of right now, we have not done any tuning and we have not had a check engine light. We should be tuning in the next 2-3 weeks. This car is still emissions legal in most states.
Here is a current list of Mods: Cartek Stage 2 Heads, Cartek Mild Stage 1 Cam, Cartek ported throttle body, Cartek C6 clutch, 3.90 gears, HD output shaft, Kook’s 1 ¾” headers, High flow cats, Cartek fan module, 160 thermostat, Cartek Torque Management Elimination Module, Stainless Works 2 ½” cat back, Cartek C6 line lock kit, and 17” ET Streets. No tuning or air intake.
