Yeah that is one bad Viper!
It is a Viper T-56 as I understand it fully rebuilt by G-Force. It retains full synchro but has some beefing and cyrogenic treatments.
I was there when it pegged the dyno at 1200rwhp and rwtq still climbing - since then it has been upgraded again and it is making some serious mumbo... race weight with driver has to be at least 3700lb as the car as full stereo with amp, subs, air con, interior leather etc.... it drives like a stocker and could be road raced with small wastegate springs.
In drag tune - Chad said he smoked the tires so bad he redlined it at half throttle by rolling into it from 60mph in 5TH GEAR on the drive home... with Drag Radials....
It'll do 60mph in 1st..... 170mph in 4th with the drag slicks on - but it'll give you some idea that 5th is tall. This car is SICK fast... if he can find a way to get it down on the street - it should blast from 100-200mph faster than most cars can go 0-60mph.

the vids from BMP bring back so many memories!!!! I used to go there 2-3 times a week. Thats the good thing about that track, they are/were open 3 days a week! Chuck Babel has a Red viper the runs there every so often, and I beleive it turns 10's if I remember correctly. If anyone on here goes on the runday sunday's let me know how "Sweet Charlie" Williams car is running! Last time I was there he went 8.0x @ 176 mph on 10.5w tires. 1967 camaro, black w/ white stripes. 1.18 60ft time.

I`m not a ricer by far. But anything that can run a 8 sec time is fast as ****! Thats sweet. And vipers are sweet. Don`t hate what you can`t have. Maybe a SRT-4 is all you can afford!

what ever you say HAUS1. I`ve got a good friend at MTI-David Coates that has one and loves it. Very nice car. Granted its alot of money for it, but just like a Cobra. If its what you like, then the money is worth it. Your comment about Toys-R-Us. Get real. Vipers are sweet *** cars. To bad you feel that way about them. It`s american muscle at its best. And for the kid comment, get real!

I am sure you are joking here, because stock 1st gen vipers displace 48.8 c.i. per cylinder where a LS1 only displaces 43.25 c.i. per cylinder. No Honda engine that I know of even comes close to that. Atleast not in a car.
If I am not mistaken Vipers sounds as they do due to flat crank design, firing order, and the fact that they come with dual exhaust with no crossover...hence effectivly being like two 5 cylinder engines on the exhaust side......
