the blower belt did not completly break. it striped the teeth of the belt in first gear and went down the track sliping the belt giving low boost.

congrats! ronnie dukes shop is in my town and when i last talked to him he was spending more $$$$ on his car to go 7's. the guy is a nut,but he will go 7's soon.

So they were say'n the car was gonna make more runs today, what did it go???

I'm also interested? I heard it broke something in the driveline after the 8.11 is this bad info???

surely ronnie has enough spare parts to build another car in his nascar transport?!?! i have had my ears open to all the usual track guys here locally to see if any news has come about. none that i know of yet.

Don't know but page 6 has some pics in the second row from left to right, 3 of um. the third one don't look good but leves alot too as far as "who" dose this belong too ????

Take note of all the attention they got from the "pro" guys & gals down there. Some heavy hitters were all over that car in alot of pics.... KOOOOL stuff!!!

Annette Summers, Jeg Cog, Greg Anderson...some keeper pics there for the crew!!!

Not only would I like to see Duke or Harlan run 7s, hell, I hope they run 6s someday. But I am highly sceptical that iDuke ran 8.16 with "low boost" from first gear on. It may have dropped from, say, 25 lbs. to 20 lbs. (I'm guessing), but I do not believe that it would run 8.16 unless was under 90% or greater boost or power. JMHO.

Based on what the car ran at Thunder normally and what it would take to run the 8.11 (assuming everything is close to the same) I don't see it running that fast unless the belt came off or started slipping really late in the run. Hopefully their run data will tell them where and someone can chime in. But, they have typically beem a quiet group so I don't expect to hear anything from them.

Nonetheless, congrats to the Hardcore team for stepping up. It looks like they had a good time in the weather down south, considering it's fricken cold here right now!.

I second the congrats, and we too are looking forward to leaving the Denver cold and testing again in Phoenix in late January. Maybe some 7-teens this trip.

That pic of broken parts and pieces was from Annette Summers turbo promod vette.
Ds broke and took out the trans showering her with bits and pieces inside the car.
That pic was not related too dukes effort.

I do not think it'd run anywhere near that fast with the belt off after first gear

Does he have a powerglide in the car?

Rossler TH400 I believe. They let Rob Golobo borrow it in Orlando back a month or so ago when he broke his after they didn't get so far in the Drag Radial class. Rob ultimately went on to win in his class with their help. I don't believe they changed it over to a glide or anything like that.

I think it had a low/ custom first gear in a TH400. 2.2x/2.1x I believe?

It probably has the same 2.10 low gear that my Rossler has (2.10/1.40/1.00). It's Rossler's high hp T400.

Appears to be the C5R engine out of the vert that was in the car when it went 8.11. As best I can tell that isn't the same engine that was in the car at Thunder.

from what ronnie and jason mcneil was saying at BMP, it was the C5r motor. they just transported the motor to this car. i mean they have enough recources.
