Rodney....how quick do you think your car would go if it weighed say.....2600 lbs? I've got this idea for a swap that would make a killer light weight LS1 drag car....

no doubt it would go 9's cam only at that weight but damn thats light. what you have in mind to get that light.

i know it wouldn't qualify for any of the LS1 record's since it isn't an F body/vette, but i still think it'd be a lot of fun.

Its been done Lane of Lanes true duels did it, but I believe he has already sold car and is looking to build a chevyII.

Fox body coupe.

I know it's already been done, that doesn't mean i can't do it

And all Lane did was swap in a stock engine with a TH350. I'm gonna build something scary...

It would probably run a 10.70 in +1500 DA. Trust me, -1200 DA weather is not an everyday occurance around here. I've only been able to catch -1080 one time this year while the track was open. And I watch the weather like a hawk this time of year. You guys see some pretty nice DA up there too. Besides, we tryed to get your guy to come down for the Thunder Shootout. Maybe Rodney can make N vs S this year. Rodneys car is going to be quick in any weather

If I had a car that I thought had a chance at the bolt-on, cam only or cam and heads record, I would load that sucker on the trailer and get my butt to some good air. Location is not too good of a reason for not getten er done. Take a little road trip.

the best ive ever been in with my mustang was +900. My car is usually done for the season when the good killer air comes around. I went out very late at the end of 2004 hoping to catch some nice air, but it was still +1100 that day. 2004 wasnt a good season for killer air. at the end of 2003 we saw -400...and people at the track that day were flyin. Pickin up like 3mph on street type cars. lots of personal records broken that day. so to hear -1000 or more is like a wet dream for us

I live about 50 miles East of DFW. The weather was pretyy good last friday, but there are no 1/4 mile tracks open friday night

Basically a full bolt on car with the only internal engine mod being a cam. Stock heads, stock valves, stock bottom end, stock etc. etc....
