To the skeptics, you might want to really look at the numbers. Keith and Sean both dynoed around 415rwhp cam only thru open headers. That's pretty consistent. Keith is maybe 150 lighter, but He also has like a 8" 5200 stall compared to Sean's nitrous converter. All in all, the numbers are all in line with reality. I was there when Keith went low 11's, and then 10.9 that one day. I rode down and did some spotting and just supported a friend.

I think we are past the point in the community where we immediatley put on the skeptic hat. After all, most of the longtimers know each other and frankly talk on the fone too.

Let me know when the torque arm comes in, that one you have now is ready for the dumpster!
John I'd rethink the ysi blower,,,shucks just throw a cam in it.........

Yeah, I drive mine a lot, not daily, but a lot! I have the pepboy beetle radials up front for the skinnies which stay on all the time and two sets of rear draglites, one with pepboy 275/60/15 for my street tires (definately need to get some drag radials for the street, those tires are just dumb, but they were really cheap, like $60 a piece, so at the time I just grabbed 'em cuz I didn't have too much money, plus they're lasting forever, they're still not worn down yet and i've had 'em on the car for over a year!!!) and one set with my ET Drags on 'em.

Your old arm was junk, Alston was one of the first places to come out with that style torque arm back in the last 80's. Alston used to sell them thru Granatelli and also Jegs I think but now only does their own. You will be very happy. You have to save that old arm, it's really messed up!

You gotta love that, the man spends money where it is needed ... a new torque arm, yet his shoes look a kind of worn. J/K Keith.

Looks like it was made of PCV tubing, was that part of the weight reduction ... a Home Depot TQ arm? I know ricer have made roll-cage with that stuff, I thought it was "strong".

Congratulations. Thanks for the info guys. The first hot rod I had, I put all the money in the motor, and none in the car. It was slow!!!! Now ya'll have reaffirmed, my conviction to put my money in the chassis and weight reduction first. Now if I can solve the money equation.
