Default SS Convertible in Action at HPT

Well, I finally got my SS to the strip. Location: Heartland Park, Topkea, elevation is @ 1,000 ft above sea level, temp at @ 55.

This was my first time dragging this car and my 60' times reflect.

First run
14.211 @ 105.81 60' 2.699
Bogged bad off the line trying to avoid bad wheelspin.

Second run
14.002 @ 105.79 60' 2.542
Once again, bogged.

Third run
13.519 @ 105.98 60' 2.264

That was it for the night. Traction was scarce off the line. On my third run I launched at @ 2000 and spun thru part of first, but it was faster than bogging. Tire pressue was at @ 35 PSI on my Kumho MX tires, full tank of 91 octane. Mods are in the sig. What do you guys think of the times? Judging by my MPH, I should be able to hit 13.0 to 13.1 with a 2.0 60'.

Not bad for the 1st time to the track. Practice is the key. Good luck.

practice is the key. i used to race at HPT all the time. prep isnt their best suit. KCIR much better. btw, elevation is 850 feet above sea level. i have hundreds of passes there. great time.
