Not Impressed with my mods !
Hi Everyone,
I have a 00 Trans Am with these Mods.
Vinci lid / filter / ported tb / maf ends / and tuner.
323 gears / Yank 3200 / trans mods .
Billy boat exhaust / slp y pipe. Manifolds & cats
I went to the track and it only runs 13.23 @ 103.22
1.918 / 60 with Nitto 555.
My question is why Is there so many other cars on here running these times and better stock ? should I get a dyno tune ? will it help ?
I thought I would have been in the high 12s
Any advise would be great !
Thanks

your 60' need a lot of work. with that convertor and drag radials you should easily go low 1.7s high 1.6s so thats where you are hurting. just practice practice.
also LT headers will help you out a lot. run a sway bar (front)? also you say "tuner" - if its anything other than a custom tune by an shop, its a waste of time.
btw, what model yank do you have? SY?

John, I have the Vinci hand held tuner. It's the ss 3200 yank. It sure doesn't feel like a 3200 at all. The 1.918 60' is the best it will do ! The Nittos never spun a bit, stuck like glue to the track. I leave at idle is this the best way with these cars ? or should I brake torque it up some ?
I will get a good tune.
