Default Any slower LS1s out there?

Well, I took my 98 T/A A4 vert to the track. My best run was 14.1 at 97 with a 2.1 60'. I am less than impressed with my LS1. For the record, my LT1 vert was faster than this. This thing has to be the slowest LS1 ever.

Manual or Auto. What's your elevation, DA? That MPH is extremely low, something else may be going on. How many miles? Fuel injectors clean? Car won't get power without fuel.

It is an Auto. with 60k miles. Im not sure about elevation, but I'm in TN so its not really high or anything. The engine has no noticeable problems. The time slip reads as follows:
60 2.115
330 5.982
1/8 9.120
mph 79.16
1000 11.818
1/4 14.122
mph 97.55

Any thoughts/comments would be appreciated.

Hey man, it sounds like maybe you need to go through the basic stuff. Clean the injectors (I don't mean pour a bottle of brand X fluid). The trans may be having some issues. How is it shifting? TC lock up? Lotsa miles means you may have a few problems to work out. I'd work on those before any modding. Check the fuel pressure with a gage, going all out under a load if possible. It's kinda slow, but if you are elevated your et will suffer. Find out what stock LS1's run in your area.

Yeah, my LT1 was a freak. I guess this is some sick joke that GM is playing on me. I suppose it would be foolish to start modding until I figure out why im trapping so low.

I really glad you see it my way. I hate it when people mod the **** out of a car before figuring out what it needs.

is it stock?

when I ran my stock 2002 ws6 I had as follows
R/t .538
60 2.304
330 6.106
1/8 9.1
mph 80
1000 11.77
1/4 13.981
mph 102.57

then I went this weekend racing and I did a loudmouth exhaust since then and was all in the 14's I think it was too humid

Weather had to have played a big role in your run. How hot was it that day? Day or night? hopefully, that's only as far as it goes with the issue. Wish ya luck man.

That is a terrible ET for a stock LS1. What is the elevation of that track and are you sure the car is running right? I would check the plugs and run a diagnostic on the car. My 98 A4 TA ran 13.27 at 105 mph bone stock, but it was in cold weather.
