Angry What went wrong here?

I ran my car when i first got it in september of '03 and ran a 14.1. Then i added a loudmouth exhaust and slp flow pac and ran a 13.55. since then iv'e added everything else thats in my sig and ran it tonight. my times where, in order, 13.77, 13.58 and 13.85 . I didn't lose traction, the slip regulator was off for the first and second run. Why did I get worse times? Is is something as simple as tuning the computer for the mods or is it because the previous runs where in phoenix,az and the dry air helped out. when i raced in phx it was night time and the temps where the same during the day as they where here. I raced at the california speedway in fontana,ca. please someone help me figure out where i went wrong so i can fix the problem. I'd like to take it to another track (1/8) next thursday at irwindale,ca. it's supposed to be less crowded.

First pass 60' 2.165, 1/4 13.735 @ 102.02 air temp around 85
Second pass 60' 2.071, 1/4 13.583 @ 102.77 air temp around 80
Third pass 60' 2.110, 1/4 13.826 @ 102.13 air temp around 70
humidity was 25% and elevation was 1,100 ft.
the track where i ran it originally was in phoenix,az
the humidity was 10% and elevation 1,250 temps in phoenix where about the same. im really hoping its the computer what is an "AFR" and where can i get it read?
in phoenix first pass 60' 2.137, 1/4 13.607 @ 103.79
second pass 60' 2.122, 1/4 13.556 @ 103.91

NO!

Your times seem to be a bit slow, not terrible.
Not sure what would be causing it.

the shortie headers aren't giving you any real gains, if the MAF isn't stock then it's probably hurting you. AFR is air fuel ratio. It can be adjusted via tuning, but i would only let someone tune my car with LS1edit on a dyno. You've got a basically stock car that is pre-ls6 intake that is capable of low 13's (if you can get the 60' down to a 2.00 or lower). You aren't doing too bad.

Your 60' sux. Thats the major problem. Get some tires that can stick a lil and go out again.

thats where i get confused, i've got good tires(in my sig) and they didnt spin on me all night. and another thing that i cant figure out is i got better 60' times with slower 1/4 mi. times. what does that mean? i recently had the entire transmission rebuilt with all new parts by the dealer under warranty and everything seems the same. i know the shorties arent helping much but im in cali so thats the best i can do if i wanna stay legal. and i dont feel like swapping out headers for emmissions every two years

Eagle F1's are crap for drag racing. Get yourself a set of nitto's at a minimum.

Try putting the stock MAF back on also.

If they are not spinning, you must not be leaving the line very aggressively.
I'm not a fan of aftermarket MAFs either...

Aftermarket MAF's are hit and miss....especially if the car is not tuned for them. Many tuners won't touch a car with an aftermarket MAF. Try putting the stocker back on, it can't hurt.

im going to a 1/8 mi. track thursday and will get alot more passes than i did this past weekend. i'll try out some different recomendations that night. as far as burn outs i hear that with a high speed rated tire that a burnout isnt necesary, just a short one to clean the tires off. any recomendations. last weekend i went throught the water box and did burnouts. but i couldnt seem to get the rpms anywhere past 3k with power braking. please help

Drive around the water box. Do a minimum 5 second burnout. Stall the car up to around 1000 RPM and roll into the throttle at the end of the second yellow while getting off the brake. And put a stock MAF back on.
