4.10's in a stalled a4 that is still on the stock cam....isn't that just a little bit of overkill?
With the converter you have the beauty of the converter slipping to keep you in your powerband betwen shifts....that kind of negates the need for shorter gears.

I just rode in a car that is modded like mine but has 3.73's. He said he picked up about 2 tenths and 2 mph. There wasn't much diffrence in rpm's on the interstate and the car xlr8ed good. The only diffrence that was that noticeable is what speed your car goes into overdrive. I think it dropped about 12mph, oh well, I dont race to many races past 130mph anyway. I'm changing gears.
