I ran mine with 1K miles on it. Very hot day, 95F temps outside and the coolant temps hovered over 200F on all passes.

13.0 @ 109 with a crap-tastic 2.4 60' time was the best pass. These cars suffer from extreme torque management issues, it went slower when I powershifted it perfectly (13.3). Car is a bone stock Z51 coupe, 6-speed.

I intend to return when I install my Cartek torque management module, 160F t-stat, and custom fan settings. I hear they run much quicker when cool and with TM disabled, we'll see.

I ran my Z51 6sp on Sunday in the 1/8 and it went a 8,35 at 87mph with a 2.02 60'. That was in 98 degree heat high 29 berometer and 36% humity. Mine has 2500 miles and has had the torque management deleted with HP Tuners. I think with a little more seat time I could do a 8.25 in the same conditions. What were your 1/8th mile times?

i like the new c6's but im not impressed with their 1/4 at all. i have the new vette magazine where they bolted all this slp stuff to it like rcoker arms and exhaust. it made 396rwhp and only went 12.3@113. i thought it would run that bone stock.

Nineball guess you don't have your 1/8th mile times? I had my torque management removed by Sean at Fastech if any of you C6 Gto guys are interested.

I don't think nineballs 1/8ths were that quick with a 2.40 60'. Just courious as the strip info on these cars is a little harder to come by on the C6's.

Yes Tony, eagerly awaiting your results with that too, please post up (here and over on the CF) when it happens.

And speaking of Cartek they put a C6 in the 10s (10.9@127+) late last year and were the very first to do so actually...and still the only ones to do it on a stock bottom end (heads/cam/bolt ons only) thus far as well as far as I know.
The C6 is an amazing car (as were C5s).

Got to the track this week and in 90 degree weather 30.05 berometer and low humidity ran a 8.252 on a 1.952 60' at 87.05. This is completely stock except for no torque management. Mph was down a little as the rear end housing broke on the 1st to 2nd shift. She put lube all the way down the track. I believe the housing must have been defective.

The current C6 housing is weaker than the C5's.., we had to modify ours.

Julio,
What modifications did you do to the housing? Do you have any pictures? I have heard of people breaking them on drag radials but not on the run flats. I am not that hard on cars as I have made many 8.40 passes in my 2002 Z28 six speed on o.e. rubber and never broke anything.
