Default Need help at track

I have 2000 trans am m6 I took my car to Orlando speed world to see what i could get and well it wasnt so good I must be doing something really wrong if im getting these times i launched at 3 everytime im to manuals so can you help a fellow ls1 fan out thanks

Hmm, i'm showing an altitude of 500 feet, so that really shouldn't affect your car. Your 60' times should come down, but it's fairly obvious that your car isn't running right. You should be trapping in the 100+ mph area. I'd check your spark plugs first. If that isn't messed up just go for a full tune up. There's gotta be something wrong with your car, as even w/ a 2.3 sec. 60' you should be running low 14's or high 13's.

thanks for the reply I was gettin a bunch of crap by one of the track officials he was like what happened did u do a burn out to long then as i was driving away he was like you need to learn how to drive kinda sucks cause i just bought the car

yeah something is wrong with the car. On a 2.3 60 ft i can still run a low 9 in the 1/8th. get a full tune up, plugs, wires, fuel filter, air filter, pcv valve, run some injector cleaner as well. Even if you dont need all of that its nice to know that you have it done, especially when you just got the car, who knows when it last had a tune up?

well I talked to my brother and let him drive since i new to manuals and he said that it was my shitty as drivin

practicing will help. If you get a good driver and a good track together, you'll get an idea of what the car has the potential to run, and that'll give you a goal to aim for. Orlando isn't usually known for the best track prep for TNT's, so hooking can always be an issue. Add that with the summer weather in Florida, and there's some major et difference you could see.

Bottom line is there really aren't that great of drivers as people say on the internet. As bad as you've come out of the hole, i've seen far worse (2.5's by myself at a track, though I run 2.2's now, not that that is good). You could try to do the drill mod for your car. Personally I think you ran great outta the hole for your first time at the track. You just need to fix that car, cause it's trapping extremely low. Heck you'll probably get a better 60' once everything gets tuned in.

Oh and tell the track official that he sucks.

I think my shifting is extremely bad because when I let my brother take the car for a run it was way faster than when I drove. ill ask him to take a look at next weekend because he is installing the loudmouth for me thanks for all the help

I just was wondering even if my car was slow I love my t/a I would never make my screen name slow t/a I wonder if you are a mustang fan poking fun at us cause that is some real crapy shifting bone stock my 98 ran 13.43 in ubly mi with few mods I run constant high 12,s you need a a4
