Default Stock Z06 with Nitto DRs, ran today

I bought an '02 Z06 last Friday. Today I bolted on my 315/35-17 Nittos (on 17x9.5 wheels) from my Camaro and went to Cedar Falls Raceway for some times.

The car is 100% stock other than the tires, including a dirty stock paper air filter. I had about 1/2 tank of gas, and I weigh 250. EDIT: D/A was around 2300'.

Best run:

60'........1.855
330'......5.298
1/8........8.107
mph.......88.84
1000'.....10.482
1/4........12.479
mph.......113.68

Incidentally, this is the best time I have ever run with any of the cars I've owned, including a Procharged '01 Mustang GT, a mildly worked '86 GN, a couple LS1 Camaros, etc. I'm very happy with this car!

Congrats, nice time. Are you gonna start modding her?

Good times for your first time out. Personally i wouldn't start modding the car until you get her solidly into the 11's on those nittos in stock trim. The car is more than cpable of it.

I'd like to think that, but we'll have to see if I can run the number. Maybe if I lost 100 lbs or so (not likely.... ha ha) and ran on a 40-degree day with a really well-prepped track. We'll see I guess.

There are several people that have put stock Z06's into the 11's, it may take a little ptractice, but it's doable....and you could easily pull 100lbs out of the car for a track visit.

I dunno about that. The guy is at a track that is above sea level. 2300 ft D/A isn't gonna net him an 11 sec. pass, unless he goes to the track when everything is perfect. Besides he did run a 1.8 sec. 60', which ain't that bad at all.

Anyways, nice driving. What are you launching your car at rpm wise, and are you feathering the clutch or dumping it?

He's trapping 113+ which can be good enough to pull 11s on DRs with a Z06. Great run, keep it up!!!
