my 1/4 time??

Default my 1/4 time??
sup again, i have a quik question that prolly been beat to death but here goes...
Norwalk will be opening up soon and my buddy hs a 97 cobra that has 4:30gears, ORH, Flowmasters, MGW short throw, K&N cai and nittos and pulled a 12.8 at 105mph last year before it closed and i have a 2002 Z28 A4 with 2:73, Pacesetters, ory, bassani cat-back and SLP lid with 17 by 9.5 chrome ZR-1s on BFG G-force street tires.....what is your guys best guess on what it will do in the 1/4???....cause i hope to beat him cause he always talks about how it will waste me and blah blah blah. so whatca guys think? should be worried or do i need more mods???

I agree talk is lame.
IMO: you need more mods, those 4:30 gears give him a huge advantage over you.

I still say you should just run him. If he's your friend like you say, what do you have to lose? Your cars are almost equal; if he does win it'll be by half a carlength, same goes for you. If he edges you out, then just go back to the drawing board, get what you need and try again

well i was hoping if i could break 12's with my combo....i hope i hit at least a 13.1 or better....maybe

I think you could hit a 13.1 I ran a 13.5@103mph with lid and catback on street tires @ 35PSI in the rear tires

I kinda doubt it , 4.30 gears vs 2.73 gears... I think he'd need a little more power to reel him in after that stang launches

I ran a 13.01 @ 107 mph with mods listed ... on street tires.. i now have MT dr's for summer .. kept street tires for winter but she spins all the way through 1st and even at 55 spins in 2nd ..

man....oh well at least LS1's respond better to mods then the n/a DOHC 281's....yeah i'm getting a 3300 stall and factory 3.23's but not til end of summer prolly

i just went 13.6 at 107 with a nearly identical setup

get a bigger stall, and more gear than 3.23...You won't notice much of a difference from 2.73's

You'll get him. I ran 12.6@113 2.0 60' w/ similar mods, I'm a M6 though.

Get a stall no smaller than a 3400 and some drag slicks. Then go work him over

I ran a 12.9 with the mods in my sig. You need to get those LT's in and then you might have a chance.
