Default New Best!

Ran a new best today with my new TNT/Zex perimiter plate setup:

9.68 @ 140.1 w/ 1.38 60'. That is a 200 shot on pump gas, MT ET street drag radials, and through the mufflers. I'm pretty happy with the results!

Thanks Bruce! Had a few bugs to work out with the new system, but it is working now! My goal has been 9.5x's on pump gas - I might make it, but I am pushing the limits a bit with the 200 shot. Maybe with some better air. I also think my converter is too tight even on the big shot, so I may get my free restall done to bump it up a little.

I have some bigger pills for the setup, but they will require race gas for sure!

Thanks again - hope to see you at the track on the 12th!
Bret

What can I learn from my drag strip results. I was pondering how I could use the information to run better and not just keep it for bragging rites. So far the best run has been.
reaction-.6263
60ft-1.8241
330 ft-5.2065
1/8 et-8.0736
1/8 mph-85.24
1/4 et-12.6570
1/4 mph-108.23

I'm new to the sport and can use all the help I can get.

Did you mean to make this a whole new post instead of replying to mine? I'll be happy to give you my 2 cents, but you will probably get alot more help if you make it a new post. Anyway, your ET looks pretty good for your mph! You could work on getting the 60' down a little with traction or suspension mods if needed. And just practice your lights to bring the reaction time down to the low .5xx's. Hope that helps you out!

Congrats on great times. Your 60' is great. Looks like you have the suspension dialed.

I have 1 question. Why would you want to maybe/possibly hurt a great engine combo by running pump gas? Safe is a heck of a lot better than sorry. Some 104 un-leaded would help ensure you wouldn't get the boom. bragging rights is one thing, unless money is no problem. Just my 2 cents.

I understand what your saying, but it really is safe right now. Just wont push it much further than it is now. My timing and AFR are good and no knock, so no worries
