Default Cam only question

Please tell me you guys on the cam only list have roll cages. I can understand a stock internal car not having a roll cage because many are right around the legal mark anyway (11.49). But I assume all you 10 second cam only cars are legal and have at least a six point, right?

I also have a 8.50 cage! I'm a pig at 3310 lbs though!

I just heard a rumor that some of the featherweights on "the list" did not have roll cages. I was like WTF!?! So everyone else has to follow the rules and be legal but a few get to race at some redneck racetrack and have about a 150 lb weight advantage over everyone else!?! If that's the case then I just lost a lot of respect for them.

My 6 point is being installed next week. I took a little weight out to offset the weight of the rollbar, but raceweight still should be around 3300-3350

My best time is in my signature. That was without a cage and on 17" wheels with MT drag radials. Raceweight was 3275. I had plans for putting a cage in before I totaled it.

I was legal to 10.0 (8 point bar).I usually ran my car at RT. 66 (strick NHRA track).
I wasn't legal for the 9 second passes.

Judging by his sig he's probably not on the list because he no longer has his car or it no longer exists?

I assume Magnus had a cage too when he ran his 10.29? I honestly don't think the 9 second passes are a big deal since you were barely into the 9's. How come you're 8 point is only legal to 10.0? I basically have a six point that is legal to 8.5.

Well I sure the heck hope it is because that's what the chassis fabricator told me I was paying for. And let's just say it wasn't cheap. I call it a six point because it really only connects to the frame in six locations. It's just like a six point roll bar only I also have the bars that go along the a-pillar and through the dash down to the floor. I also have the horizontal bar at the top of the windshield.

I am on there in spot #14 (MDBlackZ28 was my old name). That was when I had the TSP 231/237. Like Pewter said, I assume I did not get updated because I totaled the car about 6 weeks after I ran my 10.85 pass. If any of the drag racing moderators want to update me, that's fine. Here is the updated info. Matt D-----10.85@126.45 (1.46), 00 Z, 4L60E, 4600, 3.42, MS3, +1500, 3275, 04/06 I want to put my motor and trans in a roller and see how much faster I can go. I will see how funds are after I go to court on the 26th.
