Here's a little video I put together... it just so happened that my 2 new personal bests came against my buddy Mike's 396LT1

Here are my 3 best NA and spray passes... the car is very consistant on both the motor and spray!

Very impressive indeed. How much do you plan on spraying later on?
In the video it sounds like your locking the converter in high gear and the car looks like it really pulls hard when it locks. If you go to a 2 or 3 speed are you still going with a lockup? It looks like your car loves the lockup now.

Thanks... good observation on the lockup! I plan on spraying a 250HP shot this weekend... I will also try locking it at the top of 2nd instead of 3rd and see what happens... I would like to get a direct port down the road, but my overdrive tranny scares me a little... this is why I want to go with a glide...

why did you go with a 700r if you really want a glide?

I invested in the 700R4 last year when I did not have a truck or trailer and had to drive 300 miles round trip to the track to race... I was not expecting to see close to 150MPH so easilly I guess it's a good thing that the car is exceeding my expectations... I just need to sell the 700R4 and get a tranny that can safely handle getting me into the 8's... because I think the rest of my car is now up to the task! 147MPH with only a 150HP ring kit is a good sign... I might throw in my ring kit for free to whoever buys my tranny so I can step up to a direct port!
