Its entertainment, sometimes like Jerry Springer lol.

Most cars on there are pretty crappy and I wouldnt even want to take the other one home. Few cars have been nice but its just a TV show. Only thing that irks me is when the guys on the show pretty much TELL the people how many cars they should give/get but its a half hour show so they have to keep things moving. I think a couple Springerish fights would be pretty entertaining and boost ratings some. Sure heads up would be nice but there would be zero drama then, whoever shows up with a faster car wins and that would be that.

Honestly if I won another guys car I would just give it back unless they were total dicks. Last week the guy with the pickup showed some class on that show for once and just gave the other guy his truck back at the end which I thought was pretty cool.

Both cars need to start on the starting line , it has the best surface and do the adjustments in the timing, so both have a good leave (down track sucks for prep) so the best driver wins off the clocks thats real racing!

While thats true there are thousands of bracket/heads up races all over the country every weekend that people can use that skill with and even be on TV if you are good enough

i agree the guy who gave the truck back was a class act, and i respect him for doing it. and the other hand the race with the third gen vs the mustang. they won a mustang with a cracked block and you'd swear they won the lottery plus they showed no class. becides it wasn't worth the gas to tow it home imo

the program for sure will give the looser some $$$ for the car he lost based on their estimates, i was invited to Judge Mathes program once (someone wanted to buy my motorcycle 600gxr and he ended up hitting a wall at 60$ back in 2000) and promised me that they will pay me the $$ of the bike and promised the other guy some $$ if e attended, but he refused. Took him to a court in Houston won the case but since 2000 did not see a red penny from him.

I enjoyed some of the shows, but the fact that losing the cars was fake for first season, and that everyone keeps busting how who won in the 2nd season kinda kills it for me.

I liked when one guy was racing a vette and made the vette drive not use one of his stages, thinking that would help, when in reality by losing the stage the Vette was now able to hook up better and won. lol.

No, being faster doesn't get you the win on that show...being the bigger whiner does. Every race is "negotiated" and usually the bigger whiner gets a deal closer to what he/she wants. I personally would never bet anything of any value to me, especially not my car that I put time, money, thought and care in to. All to see yourself whining on tv for less than 30 minutes? I personally don't get it either.

On the other hand, if I knew the show was not legitimate and you really don't lose your ride, then sure, I'd play the part.

Thats what kills the show for me too. It has nothing to do with how fast your car is.
