Default First Time Drag Racing

Well, just got back from the KY F-bodies Fall Bash. We had allot of fun, but it was very cold and windy.

I think my car (and I) did well for our 1st time out.

Best time: 13.660 @ 104.787

Reaction: .205
I1: 2.114
I2: 5.947
I3: 8.936
MPH: (I3): 83.437

ET: 13.660
MPH: 104.787 (couldn't figure out how to scan and insert my time slip.)

My best MPH was 106.754 Overall I think I had some good reaction times and had a blast. I am definitely going to be doing this again!!!

Thanks, Man! That's what someone @ the track told me today. Stall and tires.

Congrats Great ET for the first time out. Awesome. You could have a better ET if you get the short time down. Work on the short time.

Work on the R/T too.

Keep up the good work brother

Was that at Clay City? The air was mint and that track sure does hook up.

Nice numbers, I heard about it and thought about taking my street car but it's just too far away. Drag racing sure is fun and addicting.

^^^ Yep Clay City. Real nice track. I sure enjoyed myself! The only problem I saw (and I may be wrong since I'm a newbie to this) is the track stayed cold. Not enough cars going down it to warm it up some?

Yeah, I ran down there myself 2 weeks ago and it got around 40 degrees. Some of the rails were blowing the tires off and my car kept jumping right in the left lane, I only managed one clean pass in that lane. Still, my car and my dads were hooking like they never have. When we were down there they used the jet dryer to put heat in the track but that was because it was a big race.

At my home track this weekend it was cold and my car ran over half a tenth off of what it did down at clay city because it was sliding all over the place due to the lack of heat.

Cool weather is your friend but there is a limit and with how cold it is now we've passed that limit.

Again, glad to see you enjoyed it... Be sure to do it more next year, your wallet will become a little lighter though
