Thanks everyone for the generous words.
It has been a lot of fun trying to get my driving dialed-in to the C6Z through these 53 passes. I was booted about 13 times along the way and now banned from two local tracks. So accumulating this many passes hasn't been easy.
But I'm all about modding the driver first rather than the car, trying to wring out all the repetitive errors and wastage. That's the challenge for me. And of course, that involves many small details that have to be learned and embedded in muscle memory to be on-call when needed.
My PR progression on stock tires was 11.40, 11.34, 11.31, 11.24
PR on DRs, 11.31, 11.20, 11.10, 11.06, 10.85.
It's been a good season. This Chevy with the LS7 is more fun than could imagine.
I think the lower limit on the stock tires will turn out to be about 11.15, which is about a tenth below my current record of 11.24. The limiting factors are (1) the LS7 clutch supports only a weak launch and (2) traction on the 1-2 shift wearing the stock F1 SuperCar EMTs.
But there are a lot of good drivers out there and someone can alway uncork a spectacular pass that surprises you.
