Default First time to the track EVER

I just got back earlier from the track after going for my first time ever. Not just with this car or anything, but first time ever i've driven a car down a track, or even been to see one for that matter . Anyway, I didn't think I did too bad. I only did a couple runs though, I'll do more some day when I get some tires other than the stock Eagle F1s that came on it from the factory . Here's my time, how does it compare to what it should with my mods?

1/4 = 13.17@106, 1/8 = 8.52@85, & 2.02 60ft

Definitely . Half way down the track (or less) for the first time I was hooked . And I was there with a guy who has an 11.8 camaro, so definitely want to go faster. I was also there with a guy with a 04 cobra, and I beat him every time . lol. It was a manual and he said he was having wheel hop issues too. Anyway, thanks for the comment

I did the same first time ever last year with a 2005 C6 Z51. Got hooked, modded it and that was not enough. Then went out and bought a C6 Z and modded that. I still want more! The good thing is mods can make up for driver mod needed.

well i only have an 1/8th mile here but these are my number as of yesterday. this is with an SLP Airlid.... smooth bellow... 3.73s... LMII catback... and Nitto DRs.

you only went about .06 faster in the 1/8th than be but you had no traction with your street tires. get some DRs or slicks, and a stall.... and 12s are gonna feel good!

Speedmonster. I had fun today as well. I need a new clutch. The clutch still smelling and being burned up on the way home. LS6 lutch doesn't like 1.58 60's. Glad you had a good time and you are hooked. Get a higher stall converter and DRs and you will get into the 12s.

You need to update that "12 second club" there. Last I heard 11.8 isn't a 12 . And yes, I liked today a lot. More than just the racing too, walking around looking at cars and just hanging out and watching other guys go, but the racing was very good. For some reason it felt a lot faster on the track than on the street. I mean at a certain mph too, not acceleration off the line, I know that was better . Anyway, yes, lots of fun today and seeing lots of fast cars = lots of future mods and lots more speed and track visits for me

Yea. I put a request to get my 12 second club to a 11 second club. I was supprised by the turn out today. Lots of cars out and everyone except that one blue mach 1 driver was cool. I ended up staying for a while and talking to a guy for about 15 min after you left.

Yeah, I saw that. I had fun everywhere, even on the way home... Matt and I had a little fun on the way back... lol. I never really got to see the difference between our cars though because every time he would go it was from like two cars behind me so by the time I went it was too late to catch up, but then when I did that it was the same way. I only got to see one glimmer of hope . At one stoplight somewhere we both started off slow, but then he started to go hard, so he got a head start and started pulling away from me immediately. Up until about 80 we went, and I was very surprised... I know his car should kinda blow the doors off mine, but he slowly started to pull away from me less and less and by the time we got to about 80 or whatever it was he had stopped pulling away, we were accelerating exactly the same, but right when that happened he hit the brakes, so I didn't see if I would start catching him at all. Maybe he was in 1 gear too high or thats the bottom of a gear for him(cause I'm getting close to the top of 2nd at that point) or something I don't know.
