Default Record setting day at Atco!

I finally got what I have been chasing for awhile. The Totally Stock Internal Naturally Aspirated 6 spd LT1 record. The previous record was 12.48. I beat it today at Atco with a 12.467@ 108.99 and then backed that up with the new record of 12.384@109.47. It took awhile for the track to start sticking but once it did WOW. I actually was able to get a tire off the ground. I have a video of all the passes along with timeslips. Overall I am very happy and also curious to see how much more it still has in it. The car has a completly untouched LT1 engine with 61,000 origional miles on it. My dad bought it new and I've owned it for the past 4 years now. There are still plenty of more hardcore parts I could put on it like a lightweight k member, a arms, drag shocks etc.......but i'm also thinking a sick Ai Heads and Cam package...
Well it was a hell of a last day at Atco for the season. I had a ton of fun and there was alot of other fast *** cars there too. I have a video of a guy in a 06 ZO6 running 10.97 with just drag radials....They are some sick *** cars
Thanks again to everyone that helped me out along the way and if anyone who was there and saw my car let me know

Congrats, too bad you weren't there Yesterday.. -2807' DA' (today was only -1400' early, went away VERY fast in an hour down to -800' 55f), good for almost a full .3 .. DOn't feel too bad, I missed it as well ...

what the heck do you have done? I did a search but LT1 Stock internal, that means H&C swap? or no? all motor, so no N20/Power adder...that's impressive, great Job..

I think you were thinking of the very old record. You got some work to get to the new record. But good times anyway. Also you can't go wrong with a AI head and cam package.

Well Shon holds the BOLT ON record. His car has aftermarket rocker arms and valve springs and is NOT stock internal by the actual definetion. There is a difference between Stock internal and bolt on. If you read the words STOCK INTERNAL it means that everything inside the motor(valve covers, oil pan etc) is STOCK. Shon has a stock heads and cam but his motor is not totally stock internal because of his fresh valvesprings and roller rockers. Cars with TOTALLY stock internals have only gone a best of 12.48 in a 6spd LT1 car. Until today

I know Shon holds the bolt on record which is fine...but I now hold the Totally Stock Internal LT1 NA 6spd record(origionnal stock rockers, springs, heads, cam entire LT1 engine) until someone proves me wrong(CAR HAS TO HAVE TOTALLY STOCK INTERNALs) Valve covers never being off!!

Thanks to all the people who gave me congrats.

I would think they'd be "allowed" in a bolt on class. But by definition Stock Internal is Stock Internal. No matter who say it isnt.

Congrats on your pb, awesome times for an lt1 they are ls1 numbers. What do you have done to your car....headers? gears? supercharger? (just kidding ). Man if you were down there yesterday you would have run a tenth quicker with the colder air.

No you're gay for making that statement. I am not saying I am taking Shon's record...He has the Bolt On record..but not the record for Stock Internals......Sorry that you are upset that someone has the fastest combination. I'm sure the internet is big enough for 2 seperate records....Since they are two different setups. If I was to put fresh valvesprings, 1.6 roller rockers, and titanium retainers I'd drop atleast 2 more tenths but I dont wanna do it yet cause I wanted to see how fast an untouched LT1 will go. When Shons was building his car I'm sure he wanted to see how fast a "bolt On" Lt1 will go...Both cars still have stock heads and cam but I wanted to do it without ever taking off the valve covers. And as far as that combination is, I have the fastest combo like that with a 6spd

Thanks for the congrats. I have Full length jet hot headers(coating has mostly peeled off tho ) with an off road mufflex y pipe....that runs to a 3" intermediate pipe with a 3" cutout. My flowmaster catback is still on the car but I run it at the track uncorked. I have a Moser 12 bolt with an Eaton posi w/ 4.10 gears. I do wish it was a lil colder yesterday....When I made my best pass I think it was around 50 degrees out.

im not upset, im just saying your gay for making up your own "record" and labeling it the same as the established bolton record.

chances are, shons car probably went faster than a 12.3x when it still had stock rockers and springs anyways.....
