Something isn't right, is the car tuned, bad clutch? I ran 7.82 yesterday at 87.65 and my mods are lt's, duals, lid, stall, 3.42's. I know you have a 6spd but the mph just doesn't seem there to me.

How much power does your car make? Seems like you'd be a little faster. What were your 60' times? How's your driving skills?

His car is pretty heavy since it's a vert. It will go faster with better launch and some seat time. 1.9 60ft bogging. The car did good for the first time out Danny. Colby says you may have a bad tune? I think you should talk to the guys at hpp about a tune and see where you are at.

Ya that car isn't pulling as good as it should with that cam!!!! You should be in the 90's with that cam, my car did 8.74 stock so you should be way faster than you are right now. I think you have got a really weak tune in it. Whats you 60'?

If you're going to bring it to DFW for tuning, take it to simple quick.

yeah it was around a 1.90 60ft. car made 354rwhp before i put cutout and ls6 intake. haven't retuned since these mods....i'm guessing i'm around 385rwhp or so now. and no clutch does not slip. it grabs like a champ.

PLEASE let us go down to HPP "or equivalent" and get someone to put a tune on that thing!! Not like it's slow, but i really think it's got alot more in it.

Every symptom of a bad tune that i've read about on this board, your car displays.

Also, compare this graph to everyone elses.

wow i'm glad everyone has been chiming in and feels the same way i do, that the car isn't quite right. i was hoping for really low 8's, and although 8.39 isn't that bad (and the 1.9 60 could be improved upon), i think the tune does need worked out. i just ordered hptuners so i'm gonna attempt to work it out myself.

if this really were all my car could do at the moment though, how much would 4.11's help it out in the 1/8th as long as the rear didn't break? traction doesn't seem to be too much of a problem at the moment. the 315 nitto's seem to hook up fairly nice.

and all this isn't anything a 200 shot wouldn't fix....

i would think with the mods that you've got you should be running 7.5s-7.8s @ 90-92mph bc that cam should be pulling like a champ up top. Got and have it dyno tuned and check your A/F bc something is off up top. but your 60 is ok but you can work on that. Do not spray that car until its tuned on motor, then spray it.

you have a g5x4 cam in a stick car and only trapped 87 in the 1/8? one of two things is happening:

1) you can't drive for ****
2) the car needs tuned

my bolt-on big stall automatic went 87 in the 1/8 on the stock tune. your car should be closer to 93-94.

lg originally tuned it with an ls1 intake and stock catback and it came out with 354rwhp. i now have ls6 intake and cutout but have not retuned it since. i'm pretty confident it's not my driving that's really holding me back at this point.

93-94 mph with what he has is doubtful.

90-91 is more around where i think it should be.

I know the motor is right and he doesn't drive "that bad "

My money's on the tune.
