if the car made 382 whp on a legit dyno and is only trapping 109-111...it is driver error, ESPECIALLY with a 6 spd. that car should easily trap 114-115 - i think you need to try the !driver mod and run again with someone that can shift behind the wheel.
my bolt-on automatic car trapped that @ 3,600lbs, and i KNOW it didn't have anything near 380whp. hell my gf's LID ONLY 99 m6 t/a traps 108 @ full weight + roughly 50 lbs of her ****...AND her driving.

Dude pushrods are like $150-200. Just buy some and have a reputable shop put them in. I wouldn't go just all out and buy a new block. At most it might be a spun rod bearing, which would suck, but still not be as bad as buying an entire new block. Why don't you get the noise on a vid or something, and ask the guy's in the tech section to help you.
To me it just sounds like you are jumping the gun.

degree the camshaft, check to see if it is off first,i did this back on a car of mine and i picked up a full sec,the bigger the cam the more likely it has to be degreed to its desired centerline!!!somthing is definitly wrong make a checklist and double triple check things over.

well we pulled the push rods hoping to find a set of stockers bent to ****...but what we got were completely straight futral motorsports hardened pushrods, comp dual spings, and stock rockers. so i guess i can eliminate the pushrods as being the culprit.
