Launching a 6spd Went to the track yesterday, wasn't happy with results. I need to get off the line better. Car is a m6,full exhst,tune,lid and nittos. Where should I be comming out at ? Last year 13.4 at 108 on street tires, yesterday 13.4 at 104 on nittos. Any advise will help.
The 4 MPH decrease is odd. Did you bog badly with the nittos? What were the 60's on each pass? DA changes? I would just give the nittos a quick slip from 3000-3500 or so and it worked pretty well for me. What clutch/gear are you running?

I had the same thing happen to me. I was trapping 110-113 last year on street tires and running 12.8-12.9 with 2.0 60's. This year I'm trapping 105-107 and running 12.7s with 1.8 60's. Try lowering your shift points a little and powershifting. I took it easy my first time to the track. I could tell by my vids I was shifting sloppy. I always gained a few mph by shifting at 6200 as opposed to 6500, redline is 6700.
