Decent 1/8 mile time?
I took my 2000 WS6 A4 to the track for the first time Wednesday. I was just wondering if my best time was decent for being my first time running at a track. I took it to Sunshine Speedway and ran an 8.784 @ 82.2 in the 1/8th. My reaction time was .069 but my 60' time was 2.121. I obviously need to work on my launch, but over all is this time decent for being my first run at a track? All I have is a lid with K&N filter. Also, does anyone have any tips on launching so I can improve my 60' times? Thanks for any advice.

I'm running 275/40 Riken Raptors out back. They're some brand by Michelin or something. Traction was horrible off the line. Being my first time at the track I wasn't too dissapointed, but it could have been much better. Thanks again for the input.

Not bad for the street treads and mods done with the weather Florida is having right now. What are you running for gears?
My car even with M/T stickys in the back usually cuts 2.00-2.03 in spring-summer air with 3.23 gearing, so you're not far off with your street tires. I'd consider a few more mods, or just continue practicing. Nice light by the way for a first pass!

I have the stock 3.23 gears. I plan on moding it in the future (true duals, cam, deleted cats, ect.), I just don't have the money for now. I was suprised by my r/t too, especially for being my first time out.
