Dump the fogger, run a .550 lift cam, get it in the low 9s on 11.5x28 ET streets and you can run street race.
Otherwise its just bracket racing like the rest of us

i like headsup stuff. i was trying to figure out a setup to run street race, but the rules would not allow my single plane injection and i would have to swap to a carb. (which i still think about from time to time)

Thanks for the kinds words everyone. I enjoy writing for FSC, and when Scott gave me the option to do LSx based stuff I jumped at it. I'll be at the LSX shootout working with them, and I can't wait to see all the cars and competition.
With a mid 10 second car on spray, you won't be likely winning any true "heads-up" racing IMHO. I've been bracket racing for 16 years, and the reason is lots of tough competition, and more people can afford to run it on any level, be slow or fast. Heads-up racing can get expensive, even at the lower levels. I think Open Comp is a great class as the pro-tree gives the feeling of heads-up but allows anyone to have a chance. I'll quickly get here, so I'll stop.
Taner,
I hope you make it. I need more "beer nuts" Brews are on me this time!
Maybe next year LT1's will be added, but that's up to the rulemakers (which thankfully I'm not)!

Derek,
i don't care if they don't invite lt1's, i think i have made my point painfully f%#*ing clear. how is an older model year of vehicle considered late model efi???

VTEC,
As I said, just my opinion. Heads-up is fun, I just know my limitations on $$.
Taner,
I know, preaching to the choir. Come take home the open comp money, otherwise I'll hope to see you in Memphis for the Pump Gas Drags with a good nitrous set-up!

Hey Guys. I have spending most my time in the LTx nataionals thread.
Yes my car could run open comp no problem. With what we did last winter it should run mid to high 9s. I will say at least around here in our weather it takes more then a cam and 150 shot on a stock motor to get an LT1 into the tens
I was campaining maily for the guys back east. You see the closet they will ever get to us is 2,000 miles away. Us people on the west coast don't really exist

Please keep me informed guys. I am always complaining about the amount of money that I spent on my T/A and there is no class to race in.
96 T/A 396 LT1 10.04 @ 132.00 on 325/50/15 mt drag radials

Sorry I'm late. Thanks guys
I agree they should let the LT1's in but keep the Fox body Mustangs out.
NMCA EFI is pretty much the only series class for LSx cars. It would be nice to see LT1's in there.
As for the Fox body Mustangs, WTF ? You guys have a whole Series for your cars, NMRA go there !!
I've been hearing some rumors that NMCA might be adding LT1's into EFi for next year. Please don't hold me to it, but thats just what I heard.
