Default TTi Race F-body kit. Track Testing 9sec/140mph

Took my camaro back to the track this weekend, found out the custom converter I ordered for my TH400 swap was just plain wrong. At the power I am making I am blowing right through this converter. The car makes 816 at the wheels with my old transmission and converter (unlocked). Thats at 20 psi, all of these runs were done under 14psi (most were at 10psi).

The car is not really optimised for drag racing yet, I am still running a stock torque arm, Lower control arms, and pan hard rod. The shocks are Bilstien HDs and the springs are Stock SS (yes they are a higher spring rate) and stock z28s in the back...

Time Trials:
60' 1.646
330' 4.329
1/8th 6.533 @ 111.64
1000' 8.435
1/4 10.040 @ 140.27

Bracket Racing (4th round):
60' 1.494
330' 4.177
1/8th 6.405 @ 110.18mph
1000' 8.333
1/4 9.989 @ 128.15 (dove the brakes as my opponent trapped 75 mph! Over 50mph closure!)

Had alot of fun though!

Thanks! As far as the tires go, I only had 10 psi in them hoping it would work out better for the t-brake... best 60' of the day was a pair of 1.49Xs iirc.

Very nice. What converter did you get? My PTC is doing decent, I went 1.35 with the 2 step at 3800. It almost feels a little tight to me, but I'm used to NA and supercharger converters.

John I went with a custom ATI. It was flashing to 5500+. Its back at ATI getting redone now. I am looking for a converter thats gonna go to about 4000 on the brake and it has to be at peak efficiency by 6200 rpm.
