Let me know if you'd like me to drive. I think I am going to go down to BG in late October to try and catch some -1500 DA and break the stock internal record!

you wont see -1500 at BG thats for sure

You need to head for the east coast for that, as cool as it was in BG (58* when I made the last pass) the humidity is so high the DA was over 1000 feet. In November you can catch a 0 DA day there but thats about as good as it gets

Now Atco on the other hand

Damn, I was under the impression you guys had low low altitude and better weather than us. Our track sits 662 ft above sea level.

Lets go to Atco in October or Nevember then!

Its humid around here, Bowling Green is 500' but it seldom gets cold enough for negative DA numbers when its open. Most other tracks around are 1500-1700' above (big ole' mountains around here). Best chance for negative DA is in the spring, barometer is pretty low in the fall months usually. Best weather I was in this year was in reynolds georgia in February when I ran 9.17 @ 149 with the D1SC, it was +100' DA. Thats doesnt happen very often

You are thinking of the guys in Texas that get -1000' in January

Never had a clean pass on 325s this year after quite a few tries, 6.01 or something in the 1/8, last winter I went 5.81 in the 1/8 (1.280 60') with 275 60 15 MT radials. I just havent had any luck with the 325s at all since I changed the front springs and a few other things around to keep the nose down with the slicks and it didnt agree with the radials at all, but it works better with the slicks..

KP, bring the car to Florida in Jan-Feb and you'll likely see negative DA. I once ran in -500 DA with a tailwind in January a few years back

Yep, Brandenton is a cool place to be in the winter Long drive to pick up a tenth though, easier to find someone 100lbs lighter to drive and do it local.

I broke down and I'm going to put manual steering, brakes, fabricated spindles, lighter brakes on the car. Hate to get rid of the power steering but its almost fast enough to be a race car now I guess

I already have an aftermarket K-member, A-arms and drag brakes. This is just a completely different rack/k-memeber brake setup. Its paid for so I figured I'd use it

AC/heat has been gone for three years. The front end parts and loosing the PS will save me 24lbs over what I have now. I didnt keep the power steering to brag, I just dont like driving it with the manual steering.

TA's are a little heavier since they have the headlights and ground effects too, your iron block is 115lbs over aluminum, plus your nitrous stuff, my blower parts are around 90lbs.. I was probably around 3350 at BG last time, I had the headlight motors and pass seat out out but I put the chute on it so that was probably a wash with the headlights. I still have all my stock wiring too, plus I'm around 225lbs. Sounds about right I guess if you follow all that

I'm pretty good at making a lot of passes, when I let off the car every time I hit the short turnoff and hauled *** back to the staging lanes and was able to get right back on the track. The last 9.02 and 9.05 were back to back as well, thats why I just hate to do an A2W intercooler, I love making passes

Problem is she is 5'3 and I am 6'4 so I have the seat bolted to the floor. She cant even see over the dash. Otherwise I'd put an air shifter in it and point her down the track and tell her to pretend the person in the other lane is a soccer mom trying to pass her and get in front of her before the next stoplight. She would have no problem holding it floored till it ran out of gas then
