Default Track day #2 - 08 C6 Auto 2.73 - K&N CAI - propped shroud

I have a 08 auto with the 2.73/NPP option, base suspension, 2LT package.

I went out to the track(sacramento, CA) again to get in more runs and also to prove the car has the ability to trap 118-120 and ET in the low 12s. I also wanted to figure out how hard I can launch before TM kicks in.

First run:
---(left lane wasnt reading but it equates to a 2.0X)
5.32
8.01@91.35
---(left lane wasnt reading 1000ft)
12.22@116.7
I was surprised how well I hooked and also that TM didnt seem to hinder me. It was warmer than last sat. and slightly more humid. So I figured that was accounting for the difference, but I was worried. I also tapped - to hold third and it worked well. Start coolant temp=214 end = 197.

2nd run:
2.23
5.78
8.60@88.54
11.00
13.01@115.4
OK now I was scared because I felt the obvious presense of TM and I ran a freaking 13. Felt like **** and worried I wasnt going to be able to prove the traps I hit last saturday. It was cooling off but still not high 50s like last time.

3rd run:
2.36
5.79
8.55@90.21
10.86
12.81@117.4
I babied it alot on this one because I didnt want to hit TM and run a 13 again. So now it was clear to me how to avoid TM, just ease into it in 1-2 seconds. I felt alot better with a 117 trap as well, things were on the up and up.

4th run:
2.37
5.79
8.53@91.50
10.85
12.79@117.6
I was happy the trap was rising as it cooled off but it wasnt happening fast enough. Obviously still babying it off the line.

5th run:
2.15
5.50
8.23@91.91
10.53
12.47@117.9
Avoided TM on this run and was able to launch harder, felt great finally getting the ET in the low 12s. Still cooling off.

6th run:
2.10
5.40
8.11@91.70
10.39
12.32@118.8
On this run I was able to avoid 214* coolant temps on the start by doing the old trick, heat on full blast. coolant temps start = 194.

7th run:
2.16
5.48
8.17@93.06
10.45
12.37@119.0
Coolant temps start= 192. So in the end I got another 119mph trap and a better ET and 60'. I was F'n ecstatic at this point, the drive home was alot of fun!

All launches were from idle and tire pressure was at 29.

Now I know what the TM feels like, sucks bad. So this will be the last time Ill race on a stock tune and the tune will be done through a forum sponser. Should be able to hit 11s@120mph+ with a tune right?

Thats awesome. What's your technique of easing through the 1-2? Just letting off the gas a little?

Not sure if I had it floored by then but no I never let off a little. Just eased into the throttle slowly over 1-2seconds.

That's bad ***! Definately should trap 120 with a tune.
