10.73 w/ CARTEK LS2 4X pkg
Hey guys....
I had a hurtin LS1 block, so I had CARTEK build me a fresh LS2, staying with the stock crank/stroke 366 c.u. & re-using their 4X H/C pkg...
Check this out!
1st shakedown pass 10.75 right out of the gate!
Followed by 6 runs of 10.76/10.77, with a new best of 10.73!
Car even ran 3 consecutive runs of 10.771..
Yep, consistent to the 1000th!
All 10 runs today were 10.75-10.77 until the last run of 10.73!
Is this a bracket racers dream car or what!
FAST & CONSISTENT:smash:
& a JOY to drive to & from the track... !
If you want a FAST, RELIABLE, & CONSISTENT car that is STREETABLE, look no further...
CARTEK is the place for your car!
1st shakedown pass
10.73 New best so far
CONSISTENT!..
Check out the 60', the 1/8, the 1000', the ET's!!!!!

My best in May was 10.96 w/ the 346 LS1..
So the LS2 netted me a .23 gain.
I'm sure as things loosen up & shift points get tweaked I can get into the 10.60's..
Do you think a 10.73 is off for 484 RWHP on a full weight 3540 lb C5 A4 car?
Has anyone run a faster ET in a NA LS2 or LS1 H/C A4 C5..?
And remember, I drive mine to & from....

Haha.. No problem...
The LS2 gained 30 RWHP & 17 TQ on the dyno, so .2 is probably as much as it can get on the track.. possibly another .1 as things break in & loosen up.
But certainly, no complaints..
I'm quicker & extremely consistent, with a reliable street car..
Can't ask for more!

Yes, after I tuned his car it ran some good numbers with the 346, but the oil consumption and blow by was an indicator that the engine was tired. After taking it apart, the bores looked like they were honed with cinder blocks. LOL The DA when he last ran the car was about -300 and the shift points were not right yet and he didn't want to make any changes at the event since he was bracket racing.
Congrats Ellis.
