The new Ride......
The new Ride...... Most of my posts were in the Drag Racing section when I had the T/A so I figured this would be a good place to show the newest car in our driveway.
Not having some sort of performance car in my driveway for the past 3 months has been driving me nuts..My wife was totally against me running my ZX-14 at the track and wasn't sure that's what I wanted to do either..I looked at several different race cars that just didn't do nothing for me...
I found this 2000 C5 on Ebay that was going to be sold without a reserve to the highest bidder..I had someone who lives in Houston take a look at the car and said it was in very good shape for a car with high mileage..Well long story short I won the car for $16,000.00..
It's a one owner car loaded with every available option for the 2000 coupe..It's as stock as the day it rolled off the assembly line and that is sort off what I was looking for when I started looking at the C5's..All I've done so far is clean it up, change plugs, wires and fluids..I've also replaced the very nasty brake rotors with a set of Brembo stock replacements..But I'm very glad to get back into a LS1 car so here are a few pics of the car...

Congrats Tim, I knew you couldn't stay away from racing. Maybe you & I can race our street cars. I have a bolt-on 02 camaro that runs 11.80's stock heads, stock cam. I don't know if Brian told you but I hit the wall in my race car @ State Capital. I've been talking to diff people about buying a rollling chasis after the holiday,I just asked my girlfriend to marry me & the ring set me back a good bit. But it was the best decision I will ever make in my life to find someone to put up me & my addiction to racing is rare & I am blessed.
